This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the respondents-authorities to take action against respondents no. 7 to 12 for the alleged illegal mining activities in Village Silawan, Tehsil Mahrauni, District Lalitpur. 2. Submissions have been made that respondents no. 7 to 12 were involved in illegal mining and, therefore, action be initiated against them. 3. A perusal of the representations made by the petitioner to the Mining Minister would reveal that several allegations have been made pertaining to the land in question being that of Forest Department, however, the Forest Department has not been impleaded as a party respondent. Further allegations have been made that the land in question is in the name of Community Centre for over 2
