The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the prayer to quash the impugned First Information Report dated 22.9.2025, registered as Case Crime No. 595 of 2025, under Sections 85, 115(2), 351(3), 74 of BNS; section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and section 3/4 of Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Act, 2019, Police Station Katghar, District-Moradabad and for a direction to the respondents not to arrest the petitioners in pursuance of impugned First Information Report. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners has submitted that all alleged offences are punishable with imprisonment upto seven years, therefore the police authorities are bound to follow the procedure laid down under Section 35(3) B
