Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant is absolutely innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. Learned counsel for the applicant further submits that the applicant is the sole accused in the F.I.R. The allegation against him is that the applicant loves her, he took her at a place where he committed her rape forcibly, when she opposed the applicant made promise to marry with her and when she asked for marriage he assaulted her with lathi-danda and kicks and fists. Learned counsel further submits that there is a delay of eight days in lodging of the F.I.R., without there being any plausible explanation of delay.
