This appeal is directed against order dated 02.05.2025 passed by learned Single Judge, whereby the writ petition filed by the appellant has been dismissed. 2. The petition was filed seeking a direction to the respondents to accord appointment to the petitioner on the post of Constable (Civil Police) in the U.P. Police Recruitment, 2023 under the general category claiming benefit as a dependent of freedom fighter. 3. Learned Single Judge, after hearing the parties, came to the conclusion that as the appellant had failed to secure the required merit, he was not entitled to any relief and consequently, the petition was dismissed.
