By way of the present appeal, the appellant assails the judgment dated 30.03.2017 passed by the Court of Special Judge (POCSO Act), Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi in SC No. 74/14 (New Case No. 27564/2016), arising from FIR No. 261/14 registered at Police Station Kashmere Gate under sections 363/376D IPC and sections 4/6/10 of POCSO Act. Vide order on sentence dated 15.04.2017, the appellant was directed to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for 20 years along with a fine of ₹5,000/- , and in default of payment of fine, to further undergo Simple Imprisonment for 2 months, for the offence punishable under Section 376D IPC. He was also sentenced to Rigorous Imprisonment for 3 years with a fine of ₹1,000/-, and in default thereof, to undergo Simple Imprisonment for 1 month, under Section 363/34 IPC. For the offence under Section 4 of the POCSO Act, he was awarded Rigorous Imprisonment for 7 years with a fine of ₹2,000/-, and in default of payment, to further undergo Simple Imprisonment for 2 months.
