This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to take appropriate decision on the report submitted by the Lokayukt, Uttar Pradesh dated 05.11.2024. 2. Submissions have been made that despite the Lokayukt forwarding the inquiry report pertaining to respondent no. 3, no action has been initiated by the respondents and, therefore, the respondents may be directed to take steps in this regard. 3. Counsel appearing for respondent no. 3 contested the credentials of the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner was a rival candidate at the elections and on account of loosing the same, attempts are being made to discredit the respondent no. 3. 4.
