This petition was filed in 2019 as Public Interest Litigation alleging encroachment of public/PWD land i.e. Gata No. 961 which is recorded as Sadak/road in Village Shivli, Pargana Kumhrawan, Teshil Mahrajganj, District Raebareli. None appears for the petitioner. Mr. Kumar Sambhav, learned standing counsel, on the basis of instructions, says that the land in question belongs to Public Works Department and proceedings are going on for removal of encroachment. Opposite parties no. 6 to 13, the private opposite parties, have filed counter affidavit denying any encroachment on Gata No. 961.
