This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to the respondents to remove obstructions, restore and protect the original shape and nature of public street. 2. A perusal of the petition indicates that except for producing certain representations, wherein very cursory indications pertaining to encroachment over the land have been made, no material has been produced to substantiate the allegations made in the petition. 3. Filing of PILs based on cursory representations and without substantiating the allegations, cannot be countenanced. 4. The petition is therefore, dismissed.
