The petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the Forest Department, Nagar Panchayat, Maghar, District Sant Kabir Nagar to run a joint campaign for catching monkeys and release them in Kusmi Forest of Gorakhpur. 2. Submissions have been made that the monkey menace is running riot in Nagar Panchayat and the respondents are not taking any action for catching the monkeys. 3. The petition was filed on 17.11.2024. Learned counsel appearing for respondent nos. 3 and 4 were directed to obtain instructions in the matter. 4. Instructions have been produced on behalf of Nagar Panchayat, Maghar, inter alia, indicating that a short term tender was issued on 24.03.2025 for engaging persons for catching the monkeys.
