This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed by the petitioner seeking to question the location of the shop in question. 2. The locations of the liquor shops are governed by provisions of U.P. Number and Location of Excise Shops Rules, 1968, as amended from time to time. 3. Neither in any of the representation nor in the petition, any indication has been made pertaining to the violation of the said Rules. 4. Filing of a Public Interest Litigation, based on the indications made in the representation regarding problems being faced by the villagers on account of opening such liquor shop on public road, cannot be a ground for seeking a direction for shifting the shop in question. 5. No case for interference is made out in the petition. The same is, therefore, dismissed. (Kshitij Shailendra, J) (Arun Bhansali, CJ
