Heard Shri Shesh Mani, the learned counsel for the petitioner, Shri Vikas Rai, the learned State Counsel and Shri Mohd. Talib Khan, Advocate holding brief of Shri Pankaj Gupta, the learned counsel for the Gaon Sabha. 2. By means of the instant petition filed in public interest, the petitioner has sought issuance of a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to ensure removal of illegal encroachment from the land bearing Gata No.879 measuring 0.016 hectare situated at village- Gramin Patti Khas, Patti, Pratapgarh, which is recorded as "Banjar". 3. On the basis of written instructions, the learned State Counsel has informed the Court the proceedings under Section 67 of the U.P. Revenue Code 2006 have already been instituted for removal of encroachment from the aforesaid land bearing Gata No.879. 4. Accordingly, the petition is
