The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 171/2021 dated 08.04.2021, registered at Police Station Vikaspuri, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 10.02.2015 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. One child was born out of the said wedlock. Subsequently, Respondent No. 2 made a complaint against Petitioner No. 1 and his family members, statin that they have been making demands of dowry and, subjecting her to cruelty, on multiple occasions. This led to the registration of the aforementioned FIR. 4. The present petition is filed on the ground that the matter has amicably been settled between the parties before the Counselling Cell, Family Courts, Dwarka, Delhi on 22.07.2025, out of their own will, without any coercion, pressure or undue influence.
