The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 171/2010 dated 20.10.2010, registered at Police Station Welcome Colony, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’) and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (‘DP Act’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between Petitioner no.1 and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 09.05.2005 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. Two children were born out of the said wedlock. Thereafter, due to matrimonial discord, some misunderstandings took place between the parties, due to which Petitioner No. 1 and Respondent No. 2 started living separately.
