This Appeal is filed by sole Accused challenging the judgment and order dated 23/07/2004 passed by Special Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act, Pune in Special Case No. 14 of 2002. By the said impugned judgment and order, the Appellant is convicted under section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 (‘PC Act’ for short) and is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and six months and to pay fine of Rs.2000/- and in default suffer further rigorous imprisonment for three months. The Appellant is also convicted under section 13(1)(d) r/w. 13(2) of PC Act and is sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and six months and to pay fine of Rs.2000/- and in akn 1/15 Cr Appeal-965-2004 J-C1 default suffer rigorous imprisonment for three months.
