The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 53/2017 dated 31.01.2017, registered at Police Station Tilak Nagar, for offence under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between the petitioner and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 04.12.1998 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. It is stated that two children were born out of the said wedlock, who are now major. Thereafter, due to matrimonial discord, some misunderstandings took place 3.
