Court No. - 65 HON'BLE DR. GAUTAM CHOWDHARY, J. 1. Heard learned counsel for the applicant, learned A.G.A for the State and perused the record. 2. It has been argued by learned counsel for the applicant that the applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. Learned counsel further argued that the incident is alleged to have taken place on 22.08.2024, whereas the F.I.R. has been lodged on 24.08.2024 without there being any plausible explanation of such an inordinate delay. Learned counsel has contended that the victim is aged about 72 years and the allegation against the applicant is that the applicant took the victim in a sugarcane field and raped her and when she resisted, the applicant had badly beaten her due to which she became bloodied.
