The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 73/2021 dated 08.03.2021, registered at Police Station Darya Ganj, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between the son of Petitioner Signature Not Verified Signed By:SANJAY CRL.M.C. 8251/2025 Page 1 of 7 KUMAR Signing Date:24.11.2025 21:23:04 No. 3, namely, Mr. Arun Panwar (since deceased) and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 11.12.2018 as per Hindu rites and ceremonies. 3. Unfortunately, on 30.03.2020, Mr. Arun Panwar expired. Due to matrimonial discord, some misunderstandings took place between the parties, due to which the complainant has been living at her parental home. 4. Subsequently, Respondent No.2 made a complaint against Petitioner No. 3 and her family members alleging that she was subjected to cruelty by them, which later culminated into the present FIR. 5. Chargesheet has been filed against the petitioners in the present case. Petitioner Nos. 1 & 2 have been charged for offences under Sections 498A/34 of the IPC and Petitioner No. 3 has been charged for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC. 6.
