The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 849/2021 dated 14.09.2021, registered at Police Station Punjabi Bagh, for offences under Sections 498A/406/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (‘IPC’), including all consequential proceedings arising therefrom. 2. It is averred that the marriage between Petitioner No.1 and Respondent No. 2 was solemnized on 02.02.2017 as per Hindu Signature Not Verified Signed By:SANJAY CRL.M.C. 8430/2025 Page 1 of 6 KUMAR Signing Date:28.11.2025 21:28:25 rites and customs. 3. Due to matrimonial discord, some misunderstandings took place between the parties, due to which Petitioner No. 1 and Respondent No. 2 started residing separately. Pursuant to which, Respondent No.2 made a complaint against Petitioner No. 1 and his family members alleging that she was subjected to cruelty by them, which later culminated into the present FIR. The other petitioners are the family members of Petitioner No.1. 4. The present petition is filed on the ground that the matter is amicably settled between the parties by way of Compromise Agreement 08.12.2022, out of their own free will, without any threat, coercion or pressure.
