Sri Shailendra Singh Chauhan, learned counsel appearing for the Nagar Nigam, has submitted that the space for street vending previously allotted to the petitioners was misutilized by raising pucca construction thereon. This act on the part of the street vendors gave rise to an action of removal of illegal construction. It is also pointed out that licence fee since the year 2000 has not been paid barring the period of Covid. In this manner the conditions of licence were flouted by the licencees. Be that as it may, for reallocation of street vendors on account of the exigencies which have cropped up in the meantime, necessary action is in progress and a decision shall be taken by the Nagar Nigam at the earliest.
