The averments made in the writ petition show that one Sri Surendra Kumar had obtained a Life Insurance Cover against the accidental death. It appears that the insured has died in accidental death giving rise to a claim to the nominee, i.e., the petitioner, who has laid her claim by making a representation to the Insurance Company and the same has been turned down by the Insurance Company vide letter dated 07.10.2024 (Annexure - 9 to the writ petition). The Insurance Company is a private body against which a Writ of Mandamus would not lie.
