Heard Sri Chandra Bhushan Yadav, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for quashing of the order of punishment as well as order passed by the appellate authority. 3. Learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the petitioner has alternative efficacious remedy to appear before the competent authority under the relevant rules namely, Uttar Pradesh Police Officers of Subordinate Ranks (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 1991. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner could not dispute the above fact. 5. In view of the above I decline to grant indulgence at this stage. However, in the event petitioner prefers revision before the competent authority within a period of four weeks, the same shall be considered and disposed of by competent respondent authority within
