Heard Sri Vijay Gutam, learned Senior Advocate assisted by Sri Ambuj Maurya, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, petitioner has questioned the order impugned dated 19.12.2024. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy of departmental appeal under the Rule 20 of the U.P. Police Officers of the Subordinate Ranks Punishment and Appeal Rules, 1991. 4. In view of the above, I decline to grant indulgence in the matter at this stage. However, it is provided that in the event petitioner approaches appellate authority within four weeks, the same shall be considered and disposed of in accordance with law by the appellate authority within a further period of two months. 5.
