Hon'ble Ajit Kumar,J. 1. Heard Shri Atal Bihari Tripathi, learned counsel for petitioner and learned Standing Counsel. 2. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has assailed the order dated 07.09.2023 passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Gautam Buddh Nagar dismissing the petitioner from service on the ground that charges levelled against the petitioner for illegal gratification being demanded were very serious and since it has been videographed and audio and video clips have been viraled, it has tarnished the image of the police force. 3. Counsel for petitioner submits that the respondent competent authority was not justified in not holding the regular enquiry before imposing major penalty of dismissal from service.
