This writ petition, at the instance of the Union of India, assails order dated 2 April 2024, passed by the Armed Forces Tribunal1, Principal Bench, New Delhi in RA 13/2024 in OA 2037/2018 (Ex SIGMNN Surender Singh Rathore v UOI and Ors). 2. The AFT did not agree and, by judgment dated 12 February 2024, dismissed the OA, holding that there was nothing to indicate that the conditions of military service determined or contributed to the onset of the disease or that the ailment was attributable to the military service undergone by the respondent. In other words, the Tribunal held that there was nothing to indicate that the Maculopathy from which the respondent suffered was attributable to, or aggravated by, military service. 4.
