Learned counsel for the appellants submits that in view of the fact that the issue as raised in the present appeal stands settled by way of an order passed in Misc. Application Diary No. 2400 of 2024 in Civil Appeal No. 3933 of 2023: Union of India and another Vs. M. Siddaraj, wherein the directions given by Hon'ble Supreme Court in identical nature matters have been clarified/modified and, therefore, the appeal may be decided in terms of the said order. 2. In view of the fact that in the case of M. Siddaraj (supra), the direction pertained to the grant of benefit w.e.f. 01.05.2023 and in the present case, the learned Single Judge has directed grant of benefit w.e.f. 01.07.2023, the appeal, apparently has no substance, the same is therefore, dismissed.
