The petitioner prays that a mandamus be issued to the District Magistrate, Mirzapur to examine his application dated 12.12.2024 and take necessary action thereon. In the application, the petitioner seeks relief to the effect that on the private land, a road and a drain have been constructed out of Gram Sabha's funds, which may be approriately inquired into. This Court, in the exercise of our writ jurisdiction, does not issue directions recommending the case of one litigant to the other for favourable consideration. If the petitioner has a cause to canvass before this Court, it is always open to him to seek such substantive relief, as advised. The present petition for a mere direction to decide an application or a representation is not maintainable. It is, accordingly, dismissed with the aforesaid liberty.
