This petition purportedly in public interest has been filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondents to act on the inquiry report dated 26.8.2014, against respondent no. 5. 2. Submissions have been made that though in the report (Annexure-1), the respondent no. 5 was found guilty of wrong doing, no action has been taken and, therefore, the respondents be directed to act on the said inquiry. 3. A perusal of record indicates that the purported inquiry report was submitted on 26.08.2014 and for the first time the petitioner filed application under the Right to Information Act, 2005 in February/March 2024 seeking information pertaining to its implementation, on which it was informed on 03.04.2024 that old records are not maintained and it must have been weeded out.
