The present appeal has been filed challenging the Award dated 01.12.2022 (hereafter ‘impugned award’) passed by the learned Motor Accident Claims Tribunal- 01, Central District, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi (hereafter ‘Tribunal’) in MACT No. 352/ 2021, pursuant to which the appellant was awarded a sum of ₹19,89,000/- along with interest at the rate 6% p.a. from the date of filing the Detailed Accident Report (‘DAR’) till the date of realization. 2. Briefly stated, the facts of the case are that on 02.09.2020 at about 8:30 pm, when the appellant was boarding an orange colored bus having Route No. 623 and Registration No. DL-1PD-0199, at IP Marg, Near ITO Bus Stand, Delhi, the bus driver/ Respondent No. 1 suddenly star
