The present writ petition has been filed seeking the quashing of the First Information Report dated 14.04.2025, registered as Case Crime No.0123 of 2025 under Section 137 (2) BNS, P.S. Gangoh, Distt. Saharanpur. A further prayer has been made for issuance of direction to the respondents not to arrest the petitioners in connection with the aforementioned FIR. 3. It has been stated that both the petitioners are adults who have solemnized their marriage of their own volition and are presently living together as husband and wife in harmony. It is therefore contended that the allegations do not disclose the commission of any offence under the stated sections, and continuation of the criminal proceedings would amount to abuse of the process of law.
