There are allegations against the applicant of committing offence of rape, criminal intimidation, penetrative sexual assault and extortion etc., . Learned counsel for the applicant submits that from the statements of victim recorded under sections 164 Cr.P.C. it appears that she knew the applicant for the last three years.She went to the hotel with applicant where the alleged offence was allegedly committed. It is a case of failed relationship. Offence is alleged to have taken place on 25.9.2023 and First Information Report has been lodged on 25.6.2024.The applicant is in jail since 11.7.2024 and has no criminal history to his credit.
