This bail application under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been moved on behalf of accused- applicant, Chandan Kumar, seeking enlargement on bail in Case Crime No. 17 of 2025, under Sections 318 (4), 336 (3), 338 and 340 (2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 60 (1) and 63 of Excise Act, Police Station Dubhar , District Ballia. Learned counsel for the applicant argued that the accused- applicant is innocent. He has been falsely implicated in this very case crime number and is languishing in jail since 12.2.2025. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that as per prosecution version, applicant has been shown as driver of Hundai i10 car from where illicit liquor has been recovered.
