This appeal arises out of impugned judgement dated 13.11.2014 and order of conviction dated 18.11.2014 passed by Sri Jai Mangal Sharma, learned Additional Sessions Judge, Court No.5, Kanpur Nagar in Sessions Trial No.1019 of 2008 (State of U.P. Vs. Vinay Kumar Singh and others), arising out of Case Crime No.57 of 2008, under Sections 302/34 & 376 I.P.C., Police Station-Rail Bazar, District-Kanpur Nagar and the maximum sentence awarded to him is rigorous life imprisonment for the offence under Section 302/34 I.P.C. 2. Today, Sri L.D. Rajbhar, learned A.G.A. for the State has produced the report dated 21.05.2025 issued by the Senior Superintendent, Central Jail, Fatehgarh, it discloses that the appellant-Pappu Gupta Alias T.V. died in custody on 20.02.2021.
