After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner prayed that he be given an opportunity to get the offence compounded. Learned counsel appearing for the Electricity Department has pointed out that the petitioner can always avail this opportunity under Section 152 of the Electricity Act, 2003 by approaching the Executive Engineer of the area. Under such circumstances, no further order is required to be passed by us. The petitioner may approach the relevant Executive Engineer within a period of two weeks from today who shall pass appropriate orders thereafter. Writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
