Petitioner is aggrieved by an order dated 18.01.2025 passed by respondent no. 2, whereby the request for change in the name of petitioner's son has been rejected. The order impugned records that rejection on account of lack of adequate proof of identification furnished by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that all relevant documents have already been furnished but they have not been taken note of. Learned Standing Counsel points out that Schedule II Regulation 10 (2) and 19 (4) of the Aadhar (Enrollment and Update) Regulations, 2016, such documents in respect of proof of identification since have not been furnished by the petitioner, therefore, the claim of the petitioner has not been considered.
