Petitioner has approached this Court with the grievance that he was awarded work by the Executive Engineer, NH-Division-1, PWD, Prayagraj, though the work has been completed but still the admitted dues amounting to Rs.12,49,171/- has not been released to him for sufficiently long. Learned Standing Counsel states that appropriate decision would be taken in the matter, in accordance with law. In the facts of the case, we direct respondent no.3 to examine the petitioner's grievance and take appropriate steps as may be warranted in law within a period of two weeks, by passing a reasoned order. Admitted dues of the petitioner would be released within a further period of two months. Petitioner's claims for release of interest in terms of the applicable guidelines/ contract shall also be accorded consideration within the same time. Accordingly, the present writ petition is dispose
