Petitioner's claim for compensation under Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Sarvahit Bima Yojana appears to have been rejected by the insurance company. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that in terms of the applicable Government Order, it is the District Level Committee, which has to take final decision in the matter. Grievance is that sufficient time has expired but the District Level Committee has not taken any decision. Learned Standing Counsel states that appropriate decision would be taken, in accordance with law. In the facts of the case, we dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the District Magistrate, Kanpur Nagar to refer the petitioner's claim to the District Level Committee, within a period of two weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. The District Level Committee shall take an appropriate decision in the matter relating to clai
