Grievance is that notwithstanding petitioner's pending appeal against the order of demolition passed by the Uttar Pradesh Regulation of Building Operation Act, 1958, the authorities have sealed the petitioner's premises. From the materials placed on record, it appears that petitioner's appeal alongwith stay application is still pending. In the facts of the case, we direct the appellate authority i.e. the Controlling Authority to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's pending stay application filed in pending appeal, within a period of two weeks from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order. The Controlling Authority will also ensure that the appeal itself is heard and decided finally within a reasonable period, preferably within a further period of two months, thereafter.
