Petitioner has approached this Court for a direction upon the authorities to consider and process petitioner's claim for release of insurance sum under the scheme known as Mukhyamantri Kisan Evam Sarvahit Bima Yojna. The death of petitioner's wife has occurred in the year 2016. 2. Learned Standing Counsel raises an objection with regard to maintainability of the writ petition on the ground that the scheme itself has been introduced in the year 2019 and there was no scheme applicable on the date of death to claim amount towards insurance. 3. Once the insurance scheme itself was not in existence on the date of death, we would not be inclined to issue any direction to consider petitioner's claim. Writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
