Petitioner's claim for payment of compensation on account of death due to Snake bite in terms of applicable scheme apparently has not been accorded consideration as the death has occurred on 1.7.2020 and the scheme has been introduced later. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the scheme has been introduced on 28.2.2020, which is before the date of death and mere delay in making of application cannot make prejudice to the petitioner in view of the Division Bench decision of this Court in Gautam Yadav Vs. State of U.P. and 3 others reported in 2020 (11) ADJ, 321. Learned Standing Counsel states that such claim of petitioner would be got examined by the second respondent, in accordance with law.
