Petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents to protect his possession. The protection of possession is claimed from private persons. The prayer virtually seeks issuance of an injunction against private persons. Filing of such petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is clearly misconceived and is an outcome of incorrect advise tendered by the lawyer. No direction can be issued to the State authorities, in such circumstance. Leaving it open for the petitioner to pursue appropriate remedy before the competent forum in respect of grievance raised, this petition is consigned to records.
