Heard Sri Suresh Kumar Maurya, learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Awadhesh Kumar Patel, learned Standing Counsel representing the respondent Nos. 1 to 4 and perused the record. 2. The instant writ petition has been filed, inter alia, for the following relief: "(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the Respondent No. 2 to expeditiously decide the Appeal No. 1648 of 2017 (Shyamji vs. Mokhan and others) under Section 207 of U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 along with stay application." 3.Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that the proceedings were initiated under Section 24 of the U.P. Revenue Code, 2006 and the petitioner's application was rejected by the Sub Divisional Magistrate, Sadar, Varanasi vide order dated 4.9.2017. Against the aforesaid order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the Commissioner, Varanasi- respondent No. 2 under Section 207 of the U.P.
