This writ petition has been filed for a direction upon the authorities to consider petitioner's application. According to petitioner, he was allotted a house in the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, but he is not being permitted to construct it. Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, according to which, the allotment in favour of the petitioner was illegal as he is the only child of his parents, who owned a pakka house. In terms of the scheme, allotment of house to the petitioner was impermissible. Court is informed that appropriate decision was taken against the petitioner and a notice was also issued to him on 20th June, 2023. It is alleged that petitioner has not responded to the notice and the sanction of house under the scheme is liable to be cancelled.
