Hon'ble Donadi Ramesh,J. Petitioner claims to have supplied various articles pursuant to a contract awarded to it by a Gram Panchayat. A complaint apparently has been made that cousin of the petitioner is a Rojgar Sewak, and therefore, in terms of applicable Government Order dated 21.3.2022 such contract could not have been awarded to the petitioner. It is urged that in order to facilitate the holding of enquiry, payments have been temporarily withheld. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that cousin of petitioner is in a different Gram Panchayat and has no concern with the present Gram Panchayat. It is urged that Government Order is not violated in the award of contract to the petitioner. Be that as it may, the issues relating to the legality of grant of contract in light of the applicable Government Order is an aspect, which is currently being examined.
