Aggrieved by the fact that the Character Certificate was not issued to the petitioner by the Police Department vide order dated 28.8.2024, instant writ petition has been filed. 2. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the State-respondents states that as per the Uttar Pradesh Janhit Guarantee Adhiniyam, 2011, the petitioner can always file an appeal under Section 6 (1) of the Adhiniyam, 2011. 3. That being the case, we are not inclined to entertain the instant writ petition. The petitioner, if so advised, may file an appeal. If such an appeal is filed within three weeks from today, then the same shall be considered and decided within one month thereafter, without entering into the question of limitation, if any. 4.
