This petition has been filed for a direction upon the respondents to allow the petitioner to terminate her unwarranted pregnancy, which is on account of sexual offence committed on her. It transpires that a first information report has been lodged by the petitioner in respect of the offence on 22.11.2024. Taking cognizance in the matter, we passed the following orders on 27.02.2025: "In the facts of the case, we direct the Registry to anonymize the name of the petitioner. Petitioner is seeking termination of her medical pregnancy on the ground that she is a victim of sexual offence. A report of ultrasound dated 30th October, 2024, annexed alongwith the writ petition, shows the fetus to be 8 weeks and 6 days old.
