Claim for compensation under Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatana Kalyan Yojana has been rejected after returning a finding that the deceased died due to heart attack which is a natural death. It is also recorded that the scheme intends to cover cases of accidental death which are specified in Clause 4 of the Government Order, does not include death occurred due to heart attack. We find no error in the reasons assigned in the order of the District Magistrate, Etawah, inasmuch as the death by heart attack cannot be said to be accidental so as to cover such claim in the scheme of the State of Uttar Pradesh.
