Instant petition has been filed for the following relief. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding / directing the respondents to initiate the consolidation proceedings to remove the encroachment of the encroacheres and the land may be transferred in the name of the Gram Sabha for better public interest. 3. The aforesaid prayer made in the instant petition to bring the village under consolidation operation cannot be granted by this Court in exercise of jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 4.
