By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner is claiming consideration of his case for promotion from the post of Head Constable to Sub Inspector. As per the pleadings raised in the present petition, petitioner was already awarded an entry of censure while working as Constable on 09.10.2012, but thereafter, he continuously discharged his duties diligently and was further promoted as Head Constable on 14.12.2022. The pleadings further disclose that petitioner applied for promotion on the post of Sub Inspector in which a final list has been published on 19.10.2024 but petitioner's name does not find place in the promotion list.
