Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the records. By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner wants consideration of her claim for compassionate appointment on account of her husband dying in harness on 26th January, 2024. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that petitioner's claim is pending consideration before the respondent No.- 5. Learned Standing Counsel submits that there is a rival claim also set up by one Munchun Sharma and this is the reason for delay. Be that as it may, since the compassionate appointment as has been prayed for under the relevant rules and the object of compassionate appointment is to provide immediate succor to the family, respondent No.- 5 is directed to decide the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment after giving full opportunity of hearing to the parties within
