By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution petitioner has questioned the order dated 31.01.2019 passed by the State Government whereby her claim for compassionate appointment has been rejected for moving application for compassionate appointment quite belatedly. 3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that primarily the application of petitioner seeking compassionate appointment was delayed one but even the order rejecting the same has come to be challenged after more than six years. 4. Upon a pointed query being made as to why the petition has been filed with such a long delay, counsel for petitioner could not explain any reason for the same and only submitted that the petitioner has been making representations before the competent authority. 5.
